Will AI take over your sales job?

I think they have it exactly backwards.
In simple, transactional selling, sure. A chatbot can take an order as well as a person can. But that was never where the real money or the real difficulty lived.
In complex B2B sales, long cycles, many stakeholders, real risk on the buyer's side, the human factor is the whole game. Trust. Judgment. Reading the room. Knowing when to push and when to wait. No model does that for you.
Here is what I believe after 39 countries and three decades in the room:
AI is your servant, not your competitor. The salespeople who lose their jobs to AI won't lose them because AI got good. They'll lose them because they were doing work a machine should have been doing all along, and never built the human edge that makes them irreplaceable.
So the real question isn't "will AI take my job?"
It's "am I building the part of this work no machine can touch?"
Where is AI actually helping your selling right now, and where is it just noise?
